Local Guides can help you with purchasing Bus Ticket from Makassar to Toraja Land or Vice Versa. A Bus ride from Tana Toraja to Makassar can be done with daily morning 8AM or night bus starts at 8PM which start from the office of the bus company in Rantepao City. The bus ride will take 9 to 10 hours and they do make several stops on the way. I can say that the bus ride from Tana Toraja to Makassar is one of the most comfortable bus ride I ever enjoy in the entire archipelago. A very good suspension and comfortable seat, make the trip very enjoyable.
To take the bus from Tana Toraja, make sure you have book the ticket in advance because sometimes the bus can be fully booked during holiday season or high season in June till August.
